art(is the freedom of expression, waiting for you to un)fold.
OUR STORY
ARTFOLD was spontaneously conceived during a casual conversation by two people who wanted to expand their lives beyond themselves. Little did they know that their burst of inspiration to open a safe creative space would become a reality in a mere two months. The development process of ARTFOLD quickly unfurled into a community effort. The spirit of camaraderie rippled out and drew in people with different gifts and talents that filled a variety of necessary roles. This journey in itself embodies the power of allowing things to unfold naturally.
The team believes in the transformative and intrinsic healing power of the arts and works with various segments of society; including individuals and groups with experiences of traumatic events, going through transitions in life, grief and loss, divorce, and/or in need of mental health support.
We are also committed to developing an inclusive environment by initiating various community based projects, and are currently working closely with several Social Service Organizations.
our promise
The ARTFOLD story encapsulates our values and motivation; to create within the community a contagious atmosphere of creative playfulness, authentic self-expression, and loving acceptance through the arts. We promise confidentiality and privacy because we value them as much as you do. Art is an organic personal experience, and we will always respect that. In the same vein, we will never judge or grade art. We envision building a positive and supportive learning environment in which all who enter feel a sense of belonging and significance.
We encourage and invite you to explore your own unique ARTFOLD journey.
YOUR JOURNEY
ARTFOLD’s art therapy programs, creative workshops and open studio sessions focuses on enhancing your emotional wellness, strengthening bonds and building communities through creative expressions.
Designed with processual themes in mind and facilitated by our licensed art therapists, we encourage the discovery of your visual voice through individual, group, or family sessions. In our guided art therapy workshops, we adhere to evidence and research based programs. Children are given the opportunity to build critical thinking skills as they embark on an artistic adventure and learn to problem-solve creatively through art-making.
