PAMELA LIE
DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE, 2017 MIXED MEDIA
55 x 50 x 85cm sound 23.49Mins
A spiralling, hollow cylinder built entirely from more than 200 unwanted children’s books, Down the Rabbit Hole represents a journey into the unknown. By choosing to showcase only the spines of the books, a deceptively cheerful piece is created. Only upon closer inspection can the viewer get a glimpse of the more introspective source.
